Software

We have used every single software imaginable. With that said, we highly recommend using CapCut for fast, high-quality edits. Get the Pro version if you want to level up your editing and edit faster.

Frame Rate

Set your project settings to 60 FPS.

Recording

Use OBS Studio to record your gameplay.

Graphics Settings

Use high graphics settings in KOMPETE if your computer can handle them; otherwise, opt for lower quality.

Stable FPS

Aim for a stable FPS (60, 90, or 120, 144, 240) while recording—whichever your system can maintain.

Recording Quality

Use high recording settings in OBS to avoid grainy, low-quality footage. Ensure you record at least 60 FPS.

Captions

Use captions when possible. CapCut can generate them automatically.

Editing Style

Avoid over-editing unless you're creating a flashy montage.

Multi-Platform Sharing

Sharing content across platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, X, and YouTube) can boost views and engagement. Remember that each platform requires different dimensions, so adjust your videos in CapCut by changing the dimensions and resizing elements accordingly. Most platforms are pushing short form content and using videos in a 9:16 ratio (vertical).

Hooks

To capture viewers' attention in the first 2 seconds, use strong visuals or on-screen text that clearly sets expectations. This "hook" is crucial, regardless of the content's length.

Different Keywords

When posting, vary your keywords to attract new audiences. For example, don't just say KOMPETE—use descriptive phrases like "New Battle Royale Game," "Insane Battle Royale Game," or comparisons to other popular games. Comparisons often work best because you're leveraging another audience. Including diverse keywords in your text and video helps algorithms promote your content to the right viewers.

Use Unique Videos

Avoid aggressively spamming the exact same video on your feed or in replies, as this can lead to shadow banning. Posting a video a few times is acceptable, but consistently reusing identical content may result in shadow bans. To prevent this, make slight edits to the video's length, effects, text, or clips. On platforms like X, consider uploading the video once and then sharing the link to that post rather than re-uploading the same file repeatedly.
